"It's a lot more than just a drink.."

"When was the last time you did something for the first time?"

"You plan to see what can happen on a day like today when you just sit
still and let sweet time pass you by"

Nice!....I simply got my hands on the 2006 Starbucks planner!

  This is my December....
DEC 31 - F-U-N

DEC 28 & 29 & 30 - W-O-R-K

DEC 27 - R-E-S-T

DEC 26
...It was a good time to sleep after a very busy Christmas day...but not for me & Ira. I woke up at 3 am to get my self ready for our trip to.....BAGUIO, yipee!...Ira is still sleeping when I transferred and put her in the makeshift bed inside the car. We left Laguna at exactly 5 am. Upon reaching the NLEX, we stopped for a while at the gas station to buy hot choco and mineral water. Rara woke up and seemed to wonder what place she's in right now. Short rest, then we drove nonstop to Baguio. From NLEX to the Marcos highway entrance, tulog si Ira. She woke up only after I cuddled her so that she's safe as we traverse the zigzag zone. We arrived in Baguio at 9 am.
Upon arrival, we went to these places:
-Ibay's silver items store

-SM Baguio and ate at Kenny Rogers' (I wanted to try local dishes but then I'm with a baby so everything has to be "safe")

-Burnham Park (Ira was restless when we had the boat ride. It seems that she wanted to go somewhere else so we finished it 10 minutes short of the allowed 30-min ride)

-Strawberry farm in La Trinidad. We took pictures of Ira in the midst of flower plantation (10 pesos per shot with free flowers of course)

- Christmas bazaar at the PEZA zone. I don't know why we got there, but since we saw the magic word "bazaar", so went inside (5 pesos entrance fee). I bought a huge white baby blanket with beautiful embroidery and nice material for 100 pesos! I also bought a nice sky blue sweater (still for Ira of course).

- Mines View Park. At the entrance we munch on the popular food there - inihaw na mais (with extra butter!) and inihaw na pusit, yummy!...Of course, picture taking again. And there was the popular St Bernard whom you may pose with for some pictures (20 pesos per shot! ok tong asong to ah, me friendster account pa!). We took Ira's picture while riding a horse (with a fuschia pink hair!).
- Camp John Hay Manor Hotel. We had our dinner of best soup, chicken, and sinigang na bangus (for Ira, she loves it!) at the hotel's restaurant. It's a beautiful hotel! Too bad we can't stay there for the night because it was peak season and all rooms have earlier reservations (I noticed so many Koreans arriving in tourist buses). The first time that I stayed in this hotel was about 3 years ago, off-season, but it was the exact time when the last day of the Goma cup (yes, of Richard Gomez fame) was being held. Most rooms became available only when most of the moviestars who participated in the event already left (so much for the blah bah!)

At CJH Manor hotel

Then we went to the nearby shops just to check for some more things to buy (for Ira again!).

- etc etc etc places

Hay kapagod! Kulit ni Ira ! Di tuloy nakapag-ukay ukay he he!

Dec 25....IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY! I thank the Lord for all the blessings this year....So excited to dress up and take pictures of Ira in her RED Christmas dress. Fun, food, good friends, text greetings...

Dec 24...Happy birthday to me!!! Thanks to all those who greeted me personally and through SMS, MMS. I'm excited this year because it's my first birthday with my daughter Ira. We brought Ira at the arcade in SM Megamall, just enjoy the day! Then we also went to Greenhills to look for a nice birthday dress for her. Too bad, the mall closes at 7 pm.

Dec 23...I still have work, work, work, you see Japan has no Christmas celebration. We're even luckier this year that Dec 24 and 25 falls on a restday (Sat & Sun), if not, then we may have work until Dec 24. Our counterparts in Japan, of course understand the Filipino Christmas tradition, so at least for this day, we all can celebrate the tradition and the true meaning of Christmas.

Dec 22...We had the annual Christmas dinner party (for the supvs and mngrs) held at the BELLEVUE Grand ballroom. All fun, fun...but I went home earlier than usual. I even alloted some time to go to the mall and do last minute shopping for some more gifts I need to prepare.

Dec 21....Our department director hosted a dinner at the Furosato restaurant located within Carmelray zone (FCPP is located in this PEZA zone). Just eight people and a sumptuous dinner...Yum!

Dec 21....We had the much-awaited final Kris Kringle. I revealed myself as the "The Mars Volta" codename. My baby was "Codename" (ho-hum). I received my wish - a double videoke CDs of the MYMP album "Versions" and "Beyond Acoustic" (o di ba saktong 300 pesos yan!)...My baby (my friend Arlene) wished for a Barbie doll dress. The funny thing is, she openly told me about her wish, without her knowing that I'm her mommy.

Dec 17....Our section's Christmas party held at Darasa Fiesta Resort (in Batangas). It was fun, with the chilly winds, mix fun and laughter as we squeezed in this celebration in the midst of our very busy work schedule. Our members were excited over raffle prizes (a washing machine, DVD players were the major prizes). I was one of the 3 persons who were not allowed to join the raffle anymore, and "donate" something for the raffle instead (wawa naman!). I don't have the luxury of time to prepare gifts for raffle, so I just "donated" four (4) sets of two-hundred-peso worth of Starbucks gift check. My gift to the BatangueƱos (I believe most of my section members are from Batangas). Ipagpalit kaya nila to sa kapeng barako ng Batangas, ala ey!

Dec 12....I went to arrange partial details of Ira's 1st birthday party to be held next year January at Festival mall's Pixie Forest. I'm so excited for this coming party!

Dec 8 ....Our first year wedding anniversary

Dec 4 ....I am ninang to Giancarlo Binaluyo, Leen and Joel's baby boy. The christening was held at St. Rose of Lima Parish church in Sta.Rosa Laguna. The college friends were there, too. - Bing, Tsel, Daks.

Dec 2 ....FCPP Christmas party 2005 (held at FCPP grounds). It is the 3rd year (?) that this party is celebrated at the FCPP grounds to house 5K+ number of employees all in the mood for the street party as theme for this year's celebration. On previous years, we had it celebrated in outside venues: World Trade Center, Folk Arts Theater, etc.

For this year, the party included contests ("Jeansenyong orig" - jazz up your jeans, "Street Dance", "Street Beat"-gorup caroling), guest performances (John Pratts, Ana Leah Javier, K & the boxers), raffle (I won a grocery package, swerte na rin, biruin mo sa dinami dami ng tao nong gabing yon he he), and all-night partying. view pictures here

Name: Jingks
Location: Philippines

Born on the date when people wouldn't miss sharing a gift, raised in a cool place where we give prominence to the letter "R" (in our town's spoken language, most of the Tagalog words with letter "D" are replaced with letter "R"), and now living and working south of somewhere, with a very colorful life soundtrack. My videoke national anthem is "Goodtimes" by Edie Brickell I am shallow - a decent mug of tea with milk pleases me ; and I am deep - I usually trail socio-political news and issues especially when there is probe in aid of legislation (sabi sa inyo, malalim e ha ha). My personality is very much defined by my iPod music collection. I have a passion for singing and usually takes extra efforts to be discreet and resist the overwhelming urge to sing for hours. Don't worry, the mic still has a chance to leave my hand, when too-mainstream tunes come in.
