Interesting how memory works...
When we relive the past, it is always an attempt to remember good memories rather than bad ones. Or if ever you had bad memories of the person, you still try to think of the details which would make you realize instead that despite the pain, the hurt, the grudge, the experience still taught you life's lessons.
..I'm surprised at how I can still play guitar notes, by memory?...Imagine I can still play those notes I learned in gradeschool without the effort of actually recalling it. It's like a rehearsed attempt...an instinct...It's like my hands are guided to the fret which embraces the same hands tipping on it (ok, I'm still the same music lover, but the guitar is new, of course).
...I was laughing at how Rara was able to "memorize" the Toy Story plot...OK it's not that she can actually understand why Woody got jealous of Buzz Lightyear. While we're both watching the movie, she always acts out the gestures done by the vivid character on the screen. She even knows the dialogue !! (still garbled of course). They say it's normal for kids to have that kind of sharp memory, but just the same, I am amazed!
Born on the date when people wouldn't miss sharing a gift, raised in a cool place where we give prominence to the letter "R" (in our town's spoken language, most of the Tagalog words with letter "D" are replaced with letter "R"), and now living and working south of somewhere, with a very colorful life soundtrack. My videoke national anthem is "Goodtimes" by Edie Brickell I am shallow - a decent mug of tea with milk pleases me ; and I am deep - I usually trail socio-political news and issues especially when there is probe in aid of legislation (sabi sa inyo, malalim e ha ha). My personality is very much defined by my iPod music collection. I have a passion for singing and usually takes extra efforts to be discreet and resist the overwhelming urge to sing for hours. Don't worry, the mic still has a chance to leave my hand, when too-mainstream tunes come in.
