For some reason, I just had a recollection of my life for the last 12 months. It felt good and bad.
"Good" because I'm thinking more positively now. Blame it on the tough situations I'd been through for the past 2 years, that made me realize that nobody would come to rescue me as I thought, no one else to blame (and even if there is, chances are, that person would instinctively avoid all the blaming and won't do his/her part to ease my ill feelings). In short, its my own-life-thing that matters now (sometimes you have to love yourself first, to think of yourself first).
"Good" because i still have the love of my life (wink, wink)
"Good" because I'm still in touch with friends and they still get excited to see me and hear my stories
"Good" because I can still enjoy silly conversations on a lazy after work rendezvous
"Good" because I'm still up-to-date with music (I would like to believe I am)
"Good" because I was able to reconnect with the "past"
"Good" because I have watched all feel-good movies, and found the perfect movie-watching companion.
"Good" because I am now singing with Rara (on the magic sing, Rara loves rock band song, pansin ko lang)
and.....
"Bad" because my badminton was somehow set aside (busy?)
"Bad" because I terribly miss someone (figure this out, I see the person I am referring to everyday, we talk, we laugh together, we had exchange of stories, and yet I'm longing for that person....naaahhh, maybe senti lang ako)
"Bad" because I haven't lose pounds (maybe i should start dieting seriously)
"Bad" because work has become boring
"Bad" because I have wasted time (always) surfing the net aimlessly
"Bad" because I haven't had a real vacation recently
"Bad" because I have watched too much soaps
Looking forward for a brighter year ahead. More "Good's"
Born on the date when people wouldn't miss sharing a gift, raised in a cool place where we give prominence to the letter "R" (in our town's spoken language, most of the Tagalog words with letter "D" are replaced with letter "R"), and now living and working south of somewhere, with a very colorful life soundtrack. My videoke national anthem is "Goodtimes" by Edie Brickell I am shallow - a decent mug of tea with milk pleases me ; and I am deep - I usually trail socio-political news and issues especially when there is probe in aid of legislation (sabi sa inyo, malalim e ha ha). My personality is very much defined by my iPod music collection. I have a passion for singing and usually takes extra efforts to be discreet and resist the overwhelming urge to sing for hours. Don't worry, the mic still has a chance to leave my hand, when too-mainstream tunes come in.
