One time, I was walking down the street and come across a man who's on the other side of the road. He then uttered "Ingat" in a melodramatic tone. It dawned on me to look around to be more definitely sure that I'm the intended recipient of that uncalled-for, but be-pleased-about polite hit. So ako nga yun....
haay wish ko lang si John Lloyd Cruz sana sya......"Ingat".

I met up with a friend (surprisingly) when I attended a meeting/seminar in Alabang. It was a joint meeting among Finance and Logistics executives from the SEIPI community (semiconductor companies). I was with my officemate Arlene and we came in just in time for the afternoon seminar. When we entered the room, I saw Louie, and his old ways of speaking eloquently in front of his never-underestimate-crowd. I found out that he's the chairperson of the association representing the Finance executives. He then saw me. Obviously surprised, he approached me and gave that affectionate greetings. We haven't seen each other for years after college. We were friends then, as we both work as editors in the college publication (he was the editor-in-chief and I was the associate editor). Actually, many memorable things that happened to me in college was during my writing stint in the publication . I have experienced all the fun, the friendship, the hardship (juggling with academics, publication and even suitors ha ha). Louie is undeniably the epitome of leadership. He's good at it - leading, inspiring people, and showing his commitment for a cause ( Oy Louie, superlative na to ha, swerte mo at naging asawa ka ni Weng ha ha). I'm glad I've seen you again, and halatang na miss mo ako ha ha (sana matuloy na yong get together ng Knights). Good luck to you and your wife Weng (who, by the way, is my sort-of counterpart in Intel, in terms of job description and workload ha ha). Goodluck to you also Weng)

what a great small world....
I've met with the Sales Managers from one of our suppliers. I already knew that one of them is Jude, my highschool classmate. Though it's been so long since the last time we saw each (highschool graduation, imagine that!) we still have the communication through the yahoo group mail created for our batch. So occasionally we would hear news among ourselves and our batchmates. Then I learned through the egroups that he's now in Sales and he's connected to the company which is also one of our suppliers. So, we had the meeting arrangement with them, and I found out that he's coming to meet us also. When they arrived in our office, I was surprised (and it was a double thrill) when they arrived and I realized that it was not only Jude I was meeting, but also a college batchmate, Nomar (Nomar has been dealing with us for years already, though not directly to me, but he knew me more with my maiden name, so he didn't know that the "Jing" that he'll be meeting is actually the Jing he knew from college).
My officemate who was with me was really amused at the instant reunion ( I was even telling him that he must have been my elementary classmate, just to complete my memoirs)
ang ending?....we had lunch at paseo de sta rosa (on one condition....no one will utter work-related matters, just recollection of the past ha ha). Thanks to you guys especially for the to-die-for sans rival.

Born on the date when people wouldn't miss sharing a gift, raised in a cool place where we give prominence to the letter "R" (in our town's spoken language, most of the Tagalog words with letter "D" are replaced with letter "R"), and now living and working south of somewhere, with a very colorful life soundtrack. My videoke national anthem is "Goodtimes" by Edie Brickell I am shallow - a decent mug of tea with milk pleases me ; and I am deep - I usually trail socio-political news and issues especially when there is probe in aid of legislation (sabi sa inyo, malalim e ha ha). My personality is very much defined by my iPod music collection. I have a passion for singing and usually takes extra efforts to be discreet and resist the overwhelming urge to sing for hours. Don't worry, the mic still has a chance to leave my hand, when too-mainstream tunes come in.
