Worship For A John Mayer Wannabe
If I were to list down some points of a perfect male lover, I would include these three traits:
1. Spontaneity
2. Sarcastic wit
3, MusicalityI understand that most women would also prefer no. 1, 'though I won't persuade them to see things the same way that I appreciate no. 2 (weird choice ba? 'pero mind you, me binabagayan to ha! Hindi lahat ng me sarcastic wit eh charming). But no. 3 is really a distinctive flair I would appreciate the most. It's surely because, I really really love music, so it would be great if I would be surrounded with people of the same interest. I slowly became one sentimental realist when it comes to music as brought about by what went before (Trivia 1: Our household is surrounded with musically-inclined people. My Mama loves to sing, my Papa is good in playing the guitar. When I was younger, we would have this "musical night" after dinner, cool spontaneous singing. I heard from my father's stories, that my grandfather used to play the violin, while some of my aunts also play the guitar, and would never pass the chance of singing altogether especially during family occassions. I have cousins who are bass guitar players in the amateur and professional band scene ; Trivia 2 - my serious love story started when I sung a beautiful song titled "I Need You Here" in one of the "Engineering Day" events in my college...right after that, someone got smitten with my "paos" voice...or maybe he just responded to the song plead (?!)..hmmm.
....Wait, ano to, memoirs of an angry-girl-music lover?.... sabi sa inyo sentimental eh, LOL.
So, for the "musicality" point, di ba it would be nice if there's this person who may share with you the love for music - and knows the songs of his life. He may not be a very good singer, but sana at least he can carry a tune, or may have the angst to sing obnoxiously in the car haha...I love listening to good music and singing while in the car....
Someone who can withstand the sound blast when I start to play my No Doubt CDs, and would prefer it even louder, LOL. Someone who won't get bored or wasted if I were to watch a live band performance (and will give the called for cheers when I put myself forward to sing with the band, haha kapalmuks....). Someone who will just be there, where the only thing that you will feel is the "breeze" coming fom the music surrounding you, and the swelling of your heart with each passing note..naks...
Long time ago nga, sabi ko, kung me manligaw lang sa akin na super magaling maggitara kahit kamukha pa ni Paolo Santos eh crush ko na.
Or si John Mayer na lang kaya...
